We said: Messenger of Allah, we love it, he said, is it not one of you to the mosque shall know, or read two verses from the book of Allah Almighty, the best of his Naqtin, and three is better for him than three, and four is better for him Of the four, and of their numbers from the camel).

Ways to learn the Holy Quran

Independent practice stage:

At this stage, students begin to practice reading under the supervision of the teacher according to the following steps:

Individual students recite verses, and the teacher takes into account while reciting the individual students aloud, the following:

  • It starts with an average level of students or less, and the purpose of following students with individual reading is to correct recitation.
  • Follows up students' recitations with corrections, guidance, counseling, and enrichment of their information.
  • He directs students to the applied Tajwid rulings in the verses without elaborating on that in order to be able to read the largest number of students.
  • Warning students to evaluate this lesson at the beginning of the next lesson continuous evaluation: The teacher asks his students to master the prescribed quorum recitation in order to evaluate all students at the beginning of the next lesson and monitor the grade before starting the new lesson.

 Cooperative learning method:

Teaching is implemented with this strategy by going through four stages:

First: the catalytic preparation stage:

In it, the teacher focuses on students' attention and raises their motivation to learn.

Second: the stage of group formation:

  • Where the teacher distributes students into groups, the number of each group is 4-6 students, and takes into account during the distribution:
  • Each group is homogeneous with the other group.
  • Students in each group choose a leader for them and are replaced periodically to achieve leadership skills for all students.

Third: the stage of clarifying cooperative tasks:

The teacher explains to his students the cooperative task the first time he applies the method, determines the task time (activity) for all groups, and writes on the board the following activity: (cooperative task):

In cooperation with your group, try to

  • The lesson verses are presented (heard) correctly.
  • The provisions of Tajweed are applied during the presentation of the lesson verses.
  • Highlight the moral links between the verses and verbal similarities, if any.
  • The task is accomplished according to the specified time.

Fourth: Presentation Stage:

The teacher distributes the quorum of the review among the groups by lot, and the members of the first group hear the scheduled syllable so that the first student hears and then completes the other where he stopped before him, and so on until the passage ends, then the second group completes the recitation of the syllable on it according to the previous method, then the rest of the groups. Each group is evaluated by the other groups to follow up with the teacher according to a form prepared for this purpose.

For the sake of diversification, the teacher can specify part of the quorum of the review and ask the groups to present it in writing, and the correction and evaluation are done by the groups with the follow-up of the teacher, so the first group corrects and performs the second group, and the third performs the first and so on, then the leader of each group presents the results reached by his group.

Methods of teaching the Holy Quran

Methods of teaching the Holy Quran

Methods of teaching the Noble Quran. There is no doubt that teaching people the Noble Quran raises the status of the teacher and the learner to the charity mentioned by the Prophet, peace, and blessings be upon him, in the hadith narrated by Othman bin Afaan, may Allah Almighty be pleased with HIM, he said:

The Prophet Peace Be Upon Him said:

(The best of you is the one who has learned and taught the Quran) (Bukhari).

Hence the importance of studying and teaching the Noble Quran, whose teaching methods vary according to the variables of the educational situation, because the single method, whatever its advantages that may overwhelm the disadvantages, must continue to lead to a kind of stagnation.

Therefore, it is better for the teacher to change the way he performs and his teaching method according to the course of affairs and the change of circumstances and conditions, depending on his experience, taking advantage of his potential and personal capabilities, taking advantage of the data of the environment, depending on his desire for creativity, innovation and renewal, characterized by flexibility and the ability to adapt to the developments of the educational situation, sensing that What he knows of the best treasures of the world.

On the authority, may Allah be pleased with him, he said: The Messenger of Allah, may Allah prayers and peace be upon him, came out while we were in character, and said: (Does one of you like to go every day to a miller or to the agate, and he brings from him two camels that are not iniquity and without a rut? "So we said: O Messenger of Allah We like that, so he said: Would not one of you go to the mosque and know or recite two verses from the Book of Allah the Exalted is better for him than two camels, three is better for him than three, and four is better for him than four, and from their numbers of camels) (Muslim).

The most important methods of teaching the Holy Quran:

The direct teaching strategy is defined as a method of teaching and learning, and it consists of three educational methods: the lecture method, the practical presentations method, the training and practice method.

This strategy is taught by going through four stages:

First: the application stage:

It is done through the following steps:
• Daily assessment: where the teacher evaluates the previous lesson of all students at the beginning of the lesson.
• Introduction: The teacher attracts students' attention and excites them, and chooses what suits the following:
• He mentioned an interesting story related to the Quran verses (the subject of the lesson).
• Mention the reason for the revelation of the verses, if any.
• Linking the previous lesson to the current lesson.
• Ask some questions whose answers are related to the students' life or the topic of the lesson.

Second: The Presentation Stage:

This stage is implemented according to the following:
Typical reading of the lesson: where the teacher asks his students to open their Quran with full attention, and he reads aloud while observing

The following:

• Adherence to the basic rules of intonation (from taking the letters out of their exits and showing the letters of anxiety, the rulings of the consonant nun and the tanween, the rulings of the extension, and so on).
• Standing at the controlled terminology related to the Holy Quran, with the necessity for the student to understand their implications.
• Show being influenced by the meanings of the verses of the Noble Quran during recitation in tones of voice, such as command, rebuke, denial, exclamation, and interrogation.
• Appropriateness of the sound for the class, the volume, and tone of the recitation must be at the level that all students can hear, neither high nor low.
• Following the teacher, students can listen to the prescribed verses of a good reciter.
• Alert for the words expected to be wrong.

Third: the directed practice phase:

This stage is accomplished by the students' collective recitation of the verses, and the more students are weak, the greater the importance of group reading, and the teacher takes into account during the collective recitation of the students the following: • All students behind the teacher, the recording device, or the computer program repeat the prescribed passage with a voice that is neither loud nor low, through which the teacher can distinguish the error in the recitation, and the teacher chooses from the hardware and software - if he uses them - what outputs the text and gives the possibility to stop after each verse or part of A verse which improves endowment to it.
• During this, the teacher carefully monitors students to ensure that everyone reads and follows up the correctness of the recitation by re-reading the words that the students have read wrongly.
• The teacher asks some students to correct their mistakes by reciting some verses to make sure that they recite them correctly.
